Terra Nova designed its ultralight Solar Photon 2 Tent with stability and protection in mind so you can still go on that big backpacking trip you've been planning, even if the forecast is not great (OK, pretty bad). Watershed Si2 R/S fabrics make up both the flysheet and floor with water-resistant protection that prevents condensation from seeping through, and even though Terra Nova didn't tape the seams, you can use Terra Nova's Seam Sealer glue for additional waterproof protection that you'll need in really wet environments. One DAC Y-pole quickens your setup time to an estimated five minutes, and its Y-design helps this tent withstand strong gusts of wind so you don't wake up in a collapsed tent after a blustery evening. There's a small overhanging porch in front of the door for your gear so you have enough room to sleep in the tent comfortably with another camper.
The Solar Photon also features a mesh inner door and fly hoods at the front and rear for great ventilation that maximizes airflow during those warm, summer nights. Although it only weighs two pounds and two ounces, this tent's FastPack system allows you to use the footprint (sold separately) as the inner tent so you can leave the flysheet at home and trim even more weight off your pack. This tent comes with fourteen light titanium pegs and three reflective guylines with clamcleats to help you set this tent up regardless of the conditions.
